Terms of service
These terms apply when you use WalletCalm. They're written to be read: if anything is unclear, write to us.
Last updated: 20 October 2026
1. Who we are
WalletCalm (walletcalm.com, "the service") is provided by WalletCalm ("we", "us").
WalletCalm is an online-only business: we have no shop or public office, and we're reached by e-mail.
Contact: support@walletcalm.com. More details are on the imprint & contact page.
2. The service
WalletCalm is a personal budgeting web app: you record accounts, transactions, budgets, goals, investments and plans, and see reports and forecasts. Your data is end-to-end encrypted in your browser.
WalletCalm doesn't connect to your bank, doesn't move money and isn't financial, tax, investment or legal advice. Figures, forecasts and reports are based on what you enter and are for your own information.
3. Your account
You need to be at least 16 years old and give a working e-mail address. One account is for one person; a household can share data through the household feature.
Keep your password and your recovery key safe. Because your data is encrypted with keys only you hold, we can't read it, and we can't restore it if you lose both your password and your recovery key.
You can export your data and delete your account at any time in Settings.
4. Free plan and WalletCalm Pro
The Free plan costs nothing and has the limits shown on the pricing section of our website.
WalletCalm Pro is a subscription, billed monthly or yearly at the price shown when you buy (currently €4.99 a month or €39.99 a year). Prices include VAT where it applies; the final amount is shown at checkout before you pay. What Pro includes is described on our website.
You can try every feature for free first, in the live demo and on the Free plan.
5. Payment through Paddle
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
When you buy Pro, you buy it from Paddle, and Paddle's buyer terms apply to the purchase (https://www.paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms). Paddle processes your payment and sends your receipts and invoices; we never see your card details.
6. Renewal and cancellation
Pro renews automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period until you cancel.
You can cancel at any time in WalletCalm under Settings → Plan & billing → Manage subscription, or through the link in your Paddle receipt. Cancelling stops the next renewal: Pro stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, and nothing more is charged.
When Pro ends, everything you created is kept. The Free limits then apply to new items.
7. Refunds
You can get a full refund within 14 days of your first payment for Pro. The details are in our refund policy.
8. Fair use
Don't use WalletCalm for anything illegal, don't try to break, overload or get around the security of the service, and don't access other people's accounts or data.
We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. If that affects a paid subscription without your fault, you get a pro-rata refund.
9. Your data
Your data stays yours. How we handle it is explained on our privacy page. We don't sell data, don't show ads and don't share your financial data with anyone, including Paddle.
Keep your own copies of important data: you can export everything as CSV at any time.
10. Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep WalletCalm available and secure, but we can't promise it will always be free of interruptions or errors.
We keep improving WalletCalm and may change features. We won't remove a core part of Pro during a period you've paid for; if a change to Pro is to your disadvantage, we tell you beforehand and you can cancel.
11. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and where mandatory law (such as product liability law) says so.
For slight negligence we are liable only if we breach an obligation that is essential for the contract, and then only for the typical damage that was foreseeable when the contract was made. Otherwise our liability for slight negligence is excluded.
12. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we tell you by e-mail or in the app at least 30 days before the change takes effect. If you don't agree, you can cancel Pro or delete your account before then.
13. Law and disputes
If you're a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live.
We're not willing or obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. Please write to us first: most things can be sorted out quickly.
